Skipping January, Jumping Straight to Spring Summer '25

What a start to 2025! We’ve had our fair share of challenges here in Los Angeles with the wildfires, but the city’s response has been incredible, and we are more grateful than ever to be a part of this community. Truly a city of angels.

With everything going on, it just didn’t feel right to keep sending emails about silky gowns and matching sets while our home was facing such devastation, so we decided to take a moment to mostly pause our marketing efforts — a very hard thing to do as a small business because sales don’t just slow, they really slow. And of course, overhead doesn’t stop — expenses keep rolling in, from rent and employee wages to ordering enough fabric for our upcoming collections (like thousands of yards of fabric!)

 

We know there are things beyond our control, but as a small business, we rely on steady cash flow to keep everything running smoothly. That’s why we decided to launch our big 30% OFF Sale on Sale — not only to help our business stay afloat, but also to give back to our community in a time of need. Thanks to YOUR SUPPORT, we were able to raise money from the sale to donate $2,000 directly to LAFD to aid in the fire relief! (PS. If you missed the sale, shoot us a DM on IG and we can probably offer you an extension).

While we know rebuilding takes time, we’re determined to get back to finding positivity and a sense of normalcy. And what better way to do that than celebrating Galentine’s Day with you all? This year, we have a really good collection of romantic styles — perfect for your dinner parties or intimate date nights. 🌹

A few standouts: Our Bonnie Dress with matching silky sash (so chic). We made our very own Eye Mask using some of our leftover fabric — a great sustainable gift for the girlies! And of course, our new Greta Dress - which comes with a slip, but could also be worn sheer. HOT!

We’re really sad we have to skip our Galentine’s party this year (last year was really fun!) But this February, we’re focusing on making up for lost January time. Just know, we can’t wait to throw more events soon, and definitely will later this year.

Although our Spring photoshoot was delayed due to the fires, our excitement is only growing! We’re taking a hard turn towards blues and whites. (Of course there will be red too…. scroll down here for a peek!) The extra time has allowed our moodboard and shotlist to overflow with inspiration, and we’re more eager than ever for the new season.

 

Picture cozy mornings with wet hair and hot tea, lush gardens, and dreamy escapes—that’s the energy we’re channeling for spring. We don’t usually share our moodboards before the shoot, but we wanted to give you a glimpse into where our heads are at here at Whimsy. We want you to be as excited for SS25 as we are! :)
