This was my second time to Barcelona and it did not disappoint. I went for my 21st birthday and it was a completely different experience. We arrived here for our first night on our Honeymoon and stayed at the perfectly curated boutique hotel, Hotel Casa Banay. Although it was 100 degrees out we were able to walk around town and enjoy their breezy rooftop.
You have to eat at Bar De Pla, it was hands down one of our best meals. Recommend getting there on the early side for lunch or dinner, as it’s small and fills up quickly. The staff, patatas bravas, and natty wine will make you want to stay all day. It was my first time having Pon Con Tamate and I’m fully addicted.
The Mercat de la Boqueria is a must as well! It’s a robust market off of Las Ramblas and filled with the most delicious food — vendors overflowing with nuts, cheeses, olives, fruit, fresh fish & meats, and all kinds of desserts. The oysters and charcuterie counters were my fave. If you’re looking to sit down and eat, El Quim de La Boqueria is located in the market and insanely good (worth the wait). After the market take a stroll down Las Ramblas for some shopping and entertainment. For dinner try Bar Canete!

Right near La Ribera Museum was the best espadrille shop called La Manual Alpargatera. They have been in business since the 1940s and all of their shoes are beautifully crafted. I only bought one pair, but I could have purchased the whole shop! I also stumbled upon a very cute eco-friendly boutique called Ese O Ese. Born in 1988, they are conscious about their materials and process. They make everything from shoes to bags to clothing.
We started and ended our trip in Barcelona and stayed at Sir Victor Hotel, right off Passeig de Gràcia with tons of shops and restaurants. Here I am soaking up our last evening on their rooftop.

That was fun! Thanks for following my Spanish adventure. Hope you enjoyed my guide and my tips are helpful when you plan your next escape. Trips like this help get my creative juices flowing and combine my love for food, culture and shopping. Where will I go next?
