I received these as a gift and...OK I'M OBSESSED. These pants fit *like a glove* (spoken like Ace Ventura). They make my butt look awesome and my waist looks amazing. But again, I'm having some quality issues. Part of the stitching is coming apart at the waist and I can fix it, but shouldn't have to do that for the price of the item. BUT I can look past that because I'd seriously buy 20 more pairs of these...
My new favorite brand
Although I am typically a size 29-30”, I found that the 31” fit best, albeit the waist a tiny bit loose over time given that these have a slight stretch (1% elastin, if I recall correctly). I may have these tailored - typical for any pants/denim based on my personal measurements. The deadstock organic cotton composes 99% of the pant and is of great quality. The button and zipper are also of superb standard.
I faithfully wear these pants to and from work which means in the laboratory conducting experiments and student teaching on the side. If you are debating on purchasing these and have considered Kamm pants or the latest Zara version, do not overthink it! These are well worth the price knowing the ethics & craftsmanship behind the Flora pant style and Whimsy + Row as a company. If I had to offer any suggestions for further improvements, I would consider doing a button fly which may add extra comfort and longevity to the garment over years (I’m also slightly biased to a button-up fly and merely a novice when it comes to garment design)
